Three Things I’m Curious About This Week #3

  1. These incredible still lifes by Dutch artist Lorena Kloosterboer. The detail and contrast of colour with the bird is just stunning.
A photorealistic paining depicts a brown sparrow sitting on the lip of a stack of brightly painted blue bowls.

2. This nearly intact Roman mosaic that was discovered in Syria. The time it must have taken to assemble all those pieces.

A roman mosaic depicts several figures along with descriptive roman text. But I don't know what it says because I can't read Latin.

3. The European hamster–who knew there were hamsters in Europe? Sadly these little animals are endangered (but still adorable).

A brown and white hamster sits up on its hind legs, increasing its cuteness quotient by at least 100%.
