Three Things I’m Curious About This Week #1

  1. The Dracula Parrot, an New Guinean bird that looks like someone stitched the head of a vulture onto the body of a parrot. Look at those red feathers!

2. This piece of word art by artist Jenny Holzer, (Untitled (Don’t Talk Down to Me), from Inflammatory Essays) which I bought on a t-shirt as a teenager and that I come back to over and over again.

3. This delicate embroidery by Natalie Ciccoricco, which combines the organic forms of the twig with a precise design against a paper background. Divine.
