Hello again

Oh, hello!

It has been awhile, hasn’t it?

When I started this blog in 2022, I wanted to use it as a way to put interesting stories about art and nature and people out into the world as a way of trying to find good in the darkness. And then the world swallowed up all of my time and writing this blog became more chore than fun, so I stopped for a bit—a bit longer than I intended, to be honest. In the interim, AI/LLMs came along and began to chew up everything on the internet and vomit back up again, which didn’t inspire a lot of motivation to post words for free online. 

Right now, it feels more than ever that we’re witnessing the death of the old internet and, hopefully, the rebirth of something new, maybe something that’s grounded more in each other than in SEO and algorithms and maybe this little blog can be part of that.

All of which is a long way of explaining that I’m planning on bringing this blog back to life in July, although with a less frequent posting schedule than before. Going forward, there will be posts on the 10th, 20th, and 30th of the month.
